Your job.

We have an immediate need for a media team manager to oversee our media services team and serve as a media ambassador to other teams. You will lead a team of illustrators, data entry professionals, and technical writers who support the production of all our assessments. This role requires a mix of basic media production skills, strong project management experience, and a talent for collaboration and team building.


This position can be either 100% remote or you can work from any of the Indeed US offices in Austin, San Francisco, New York, etc.



Day to day you will:

  • Manage a team of diverse media professionals, including illustrators, assessment builders, and technical writers, and assist them in managing contractors.

  • Set the priorities of the team by prioritizing requests and proposing high-impact projects

  • Manage some larger projects for your team and across teams

  • Meet with your team members weekly 1:1 to talk about the personal side of their jobs as well as helping remove obstacles, provide feedback, and make decisions according to Indeed's values

  • Managing the capacity needs for the team. We frequently have initiatives where we bring on contractors to help fill a temporary capacity need. You will need to identify when this is needed and make these hires.  

  • Assist in building a culture of speed and quality and finding innovative approaches to design challenges.

About you.

    • You have a Bachelor's degree or higher
    • You have a background in instructional design, illustration, audio or video production, or another area of design 
    • Have 5+ years professional experience 
    • Have 1+ year experience managing a team 
    • Have experience supporting a diverse group of stakeholders 
    • Are comfortable managing a remote team 
    • You have strong project management skills 
    • You move fast and can adapt to shifting priorities 
    • You are a leader who seeks to support your team in doing their best work
