Indeed is seeking an Assistant Manager, Accounting to join our growing Global Accounting team.
As Indeed onboards two new upcoming entities, there are requirements for US Accounting to take on mission critical work to ensure our financials for these entities are recorded appropriately. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the onboarding of these companies from an Accounting perspective, and ensure all monthly transactions are captured within our ERP systems. They will also liaise with other heads of departments to ensure an overall smooth accounting process.
Our team consists of experienced, motivated, and self-sufficient high performers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail and be able to work in a fast paced environment, managimg multiple competing priorities.
This role will be based in Stamford, CT and will report into the Senior Manager, Accounting.
Lead the set up and ongoing operations of new entities from an Accounting perspective
Responsible for driving and managing M&A activities including onboarding as it relates to all components of the finance organization.
Support Indeed on any due diligence and integration in relation to M&A onboarding
Complete month-end financial reporting and accounting tasks, including preparation and approval of journal entries, reconciliations and financial reports
PMO/Organization skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
Responsible for the production of key Accounting information at quarter end for corporate reporting to Indeed’s Parent Company
Ability to lead several process workstreams through explorations, gap analysis, integration planning, execution, and problem solving
Experience in finance/accounting and ability to discuss accounting topics with others in the organization
Ability to take on and lead projects from beginning to end
Work collaboratively with workstream leads and subject matter experts to arrive at risk-based approaches related to tactical execution steps
Provide a value and service that is customer orientated to the Indeed business
Comfortable working with diverse teams in multiple locations
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
Professional Accounting qualification with 7+ years experience in a multinational business (preferably in the Tech sector)
Prior people management experience required
Prior exposure to Accounting on a multiple entity structure is preferred
Track record of working independently with limited required direction and guidance on simultaneous projects and teams
Ability to respond to internal requests for support and assistance in a prompt and professional manner
Demonstrate's confidentiality, due to access to sensitive information
Very strong organiational, interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to collaborate with numerous cross functional teams
Ability to prioritie and multitask in a dynamic multinational environment
Excellent problem solving abilities
Proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships, both internally and externally
