The team.

We are constantly experimenting with new product ideas and creating mini-startups within Indeed. Some of these startups succeed and many fail. You will be part of the International team that focuses on solving problems for job seekers and employers in high priority markets like Japan, Europe, and India. As part of the strategic team in Hyderabad focused on India & emerging markets, you will be addressing challenges unique to these diverse markets. The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentives, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits. 

Hyderabad Base Salary Range: 2,150,000 - 2,950,000 INR per year

Your job.

While working in a fast-paced, data-driven, and collaborative environment, you will be setting ambitious goals for your product and team. Your will set audacious goals that will inspire and motivate the team to think and achieve big! You will be looking at identifying market-specific pain points that lead to improvements in our current and new product offerings and apply the learnings to similar markets around the world.
Our product development philosophy is similar to the Lean Startup philosophy. You will be working with business, sales, customer success teams to understand customer problems in context. You will continuously be looking at data, user research, and competitive analysis to create hypotheses for improving your product, propose the fastest path to learning through MVPs/simple solutions, define requirements, analyze results and incorporate them into future course of action. You will work closely with the development team on a daily basis, creating MVPs, defining requirements and analyzing tests with their input. You will do data analysis yourself using the plethora of in-house tools for analyzing data. You will spend time simplifying a feature to get it out the door this week than building flashy powerpoint decks for all hands meetings.

  • Understand pain points, identify and prioritize opportunities. Define product goals and metrics.
  • Create simple solutions and validate them by performing experiments and analyzing the results

  • Demonstrate leadership and gain respect across functions/teams

About you.

We are looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial product manager who helps us build products users love and help us fulfill our mission of helping people get jobs.

Product Managers at Indeed are analytical, creative, and collaborative. We obsess over data and drive for simplicity. You will guide the team by exemplifying these core values. Product Managers have the responsibility to deliver results, but no direct authority over peers in Engineering and Design. A successful Product Manager leads by developing the trust and respect of teammates so you will have to influence others to follow your vision.   • High energy and entrepreneurial drive to persevere through constraints and solve problems.
  • Strong customer empathy and product thinking to translate customer needs into product requirements.
  • Strong data analysis skills with ability to make data-driven business decisions. Experience with online experimentation (A/B testing) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by persuasion and influence. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • At least 2 years of consumer mobile or internet software product management experience or founder/early team-member at a startup.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field.
