The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Your job.

Our in-house creative agency is a global team of thoughtful, motivated makers who live to tell creative brand stories. We’re looking for a seasoned copywriter to join our growing team and help us tell the story of Indeed across all kinds of projects. As part of Indeed’s internal creative agency, you’ll work with other creatives (designers, writers, creative leads, etc.) to conceptualize, write and produce a wide range of marketing materials, such as online video, direct mail, paid & organic social posts, event narratives, emails and landing pages. You will work collaboratively with designers and art directors as well as creative leaders to create best-in-class work across Indeed’s marketing channels.
You view everything as an opportunity, tackling anything from digital ads to print collateral, creative content and marketing presentations with an equal level of enthusiasm and craft. You think strategically to solve business problems with smart, creative concepts. You’re confident in presenting your work, and feel comfortable collaborating directly with marketing stakeholders to create compelling, on-brand content. You’re a diplomat who can balance creative feedback against business needs to make wise decisions. And, more often than not, you have fun doing it! Responsibilities:
  • Provide world-class marketing copy across multiple mediums on a variety of projects, from small pieces to multi-channel campaigns
  • Develop creative concepts against project briefs
  • Collaborate directly with creative peers, directors, producers and stakeholders to form one team
  • Use your good judgment to make wise decisions in response to feedback from marketing stakeholders and creative leadership
  • Communicate ideas effectively
  • Prioritize multiple projects and deliver high-quality copy on-time, occasionally under tight deadlines

About you.

  • Has a strong portfolio demonstrating world-class copywriting skills across a range of marketing projects, preferably for a global brand
  • Has proven ability to create big conceptual ideas from a marketing brief
  • Is a self-starter with a strong work ethic, who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Is passionate about supporting and evolving a global brand 
  • Is driven to take on new challenges and own their work
  • Sees the opportunity in every project, from a single marketing email to a seven-figure paid media campaign
  • Can comfortably deliver copywriting within constraints of the medium and channel they will be displayed in
  • Is excited to work within our current brand voice, and help us evolve it as new opportunities arise
  • Takes responsibility for the success of the projects they work on
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, such as working with an advertising agency or internal creative team 
  • BA/BS in English Literature, Journalism, Advertising or related field
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships across teams and across cultures
  • Experience working on global brands preferred
  • Bonus points for creative advertising awards
