The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentives, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits. 

Remote Americas Base Salary Range: 59,000 - 81,000 USD per year

The CSI team belongs to the Sales Strategy organization. Our team supports client-facing teams with insights driven analysis, actionable opportunity generation, & strategic insights. We deliver innovative and trusted world class services that enable our client facing teams to operate at a greater efficiency, generate high ROI, and help people get jobs!


The Advanced Analytics & Automation team within CSI is focused on leveraging the necessary technology stacks to build, scale, and deploy systems and services that serve opportunities to our partners. These opportunities are moved into WebApps, our CRM, or general databases to be consumed by groups across the organization, from Sales and Client Success to Marketing & Engineering.


Your job.

Indeed is seeking a Data Strategist in New York City to join its growing Advanced Analytics & Automation team within Sales. The Data Strategist will partner closely with our CSI Content & Programs to help build connections from Seismic into Google Big Query. The Data Strategist will also be responsible for ad-hoc data queries and analysis in SQL/GBQ and will make recommendations to help shape our client narrative. Deliverables can be as simple as an Excel/Google Sheet with the necessary data collected from a wide range of sources, all the way up to a brand new datasource with a live connection into our content generation platform. About you.

Responsibilities

  • Build datasets and queries in Big Query and other relational databases
  • Work closely with our CSI Content & Programs team to deliver world class automated presentations within Seismic
  • Bring together multiple ideas from various parts of the organization and products to solve a common problem
  • Design ad-hoc ETL pipelines in Python/Pandas to continually deliver high quality data sets to our partners
  • Provide data insights and recommendations to our Sales and Client Success partners


Requirements

  • 2+ years experience with Seismic or other content generation tool such as Matik is a must
  • 1-2+ years with programming languages, especially for data manipulation (Python, Pandas, R, JavaScript, SQL, etc) is a must
  • Google Big Query or other large data warehouse knowledge (Snowflake, Redshift, ect)
  • Bachelor's degree with quantitative coursework (e.g., Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Management) or equivalent experience 
  • 2+ years of work experience in Sales, Marketing and/or Consulting 
  • Tech-savvy with interest in product and strong analytical problem solving skills (must have a love for problem solving / finding solutions to complex issues)
  • Experience with an online CRM/SalesForce preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Client service mentality, adaptability and willingness to collaborate openly with other functions 
  • Experience with fast-paced, sales-force driven business models
