Job Seeker Mobile Engineering is at the center of making this happen across Indeed. You will define the technical vision and strategy for mobile job seeker products at Indeed. You will provide direct and indirect leadership for our rapidly growing mobile engineering team, and influence engineering leaders and teams around the world to execute on the mobile strategy. You will guide this team both in building the core product functionality, as well as the development of the mobile application infrastructure that allows other teams within Indeed to contribute to the integrated Job Seeker experience. Since it is expected to grow rapidly, you will work closely with the talent attraction team to grow the size, skills, and capabilities of your team, while also ensuring that we keep the talent bar high.

We continuously improve our products by gathering a large amount of data via A/B testing and objectively analyzing it to make data-informed decisions regarding product improvements. You are someone who has built a successful mobile native app on both platforms and know how to grow a product.
You understand that the best managers serve their teams, removing roadblocks and giving individual contributors autonomy and ownership. You are someone with high standards who will push us to be better, and who will take pride in Indeed like we do. You have led engineering teams, both directly and through other managers, and earned the respect of talented software developers and engineering leaders alike. You are equally happy talking algorithms and data structures as you are brainstorming about the Agile development process, technology career development, and product direction. You want to be in the mix technically while providing leadership to your teams.
5+ years of experience in leading mobile initiatives, all the way from strategy definition to goal setting to execution.
A deep understanding of mobile technologies - both Android and iOS.
Prior experience launching native apps on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Experience with shipping code rapidly to production and learning/iterating on the results.
Experience with growing mobile teams by attracting, hiring and developing top software engineers.
Strong ability to coach developers, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers.
Proven ability to identify and develop leaders, both as individual contributors as well as managers.
Track record of successfully collaborating with and influencing other leaders on delivering cross-organizational engineering initiatives.
