The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentives, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Your job.

Indeed is seeking a Human Resources Director to support its Sales and Client Success functions across North America. This role will report directly to Indeed’s VP of Global Human Resources and Employee Development.


In this position you will use your expertise in supporting sales leaders within large, ideally global, organizations to drive and implement a variety of initiatives including, but not limited to, talent and succession planning, organization design, DI&B initiatives, policy and process transparency, and our evolving Return to Office strategy.  You will have experience utilizing data and analytics to create and drive people strategies leveraging a variety of tools including Indeed’s annual Employee Engagement survey.  


This Director role will have a number of direct reports, whom you will coach, mentor, and lead in their day to day including guiding their career development and progression.

  • You love zooming between strategy and tactical execution - you love being in blue sky brainstorming and problem-solving sessions and you equally love distilling those ideas into execution or managing people who do

  • You are a coach, manager, and mentor - you hold a high bar for performance and are able to coach the HR team to be their best every day.  You develop your team and ensure HR role models the behaviors we expect from the business

  • You have opinions and ideas - you are a fun sparring partner on issues strategic, organizational, and operational.  You are inquisitive and curious.  You know when to keep pushing an idea and when to bring the conversation to next steps

  • You are phenomenal at prioritizing issues with competing demands - you know what needs to get handled and in what order based on impact and scope

  • You pride yourself on being organized - you keep track of tasks - big and small - and always have an update

  • You easily build trust with others at all levels - you form genuine partnerships with others and are a pro at influencing and partnering with CoEs to deliver all facets of HR in an integrated manner

Job Requirements

  • You have 10+ years of direct HRBP experience partnering with clients at a senior executive level within a fast-paced dynamic environment ideally sales 

  • You have at least 5+ years of recent people management responsibilities

  • You have at least 5+ years of managing a variety of Employee Relations issues

  • You have experience of driving/implementing Diversity & Inclusion initiatives

  • You have a history of proven delivery of tangible people results including helping the business think about culture and organizational change

  • You thrive on being a strong collaborator who can work across global, cultural, and geographically dispersed teams

  • You must be able to balance competing priorities and conflicting opinions and facilitate the best decisions for employees and the business in an environment of ambiguity and rapid change

  • You possess a robust analytical and strategic skillset; you make decisions based on data both qualitative and quantitative 

  • You are deadline-driven, organized, and able to multitask

  • You have a comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to create clarity

  • You possess the highest level of integrity and stellar judgment

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills
