The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Your job.

Indeed is seeking a Human Resources Director supporting one of the most innovative and “game changing” segments of our business.  This role will report directly to our VP of Global Human Resources. In this position, you will use your deep understanding of staffing and recruiting to support Indeed’s Recruiting Solutions business which will require a unique set of skills to lead entrepreneurial businesses which are embedded within Indeed’s 10k employee organization.

In this highly visible role you will support leaders and teams supporting sales, hiring specialists, engineering and product, as well as drive and guide decisions for a growing external population of temporary staff.  You will work cross-functionally within the company, and will have a keen ability to influence without authority, and be able to pivot to competing priorities seamlessly.

The Director of Human Resources will have a small number of direct reports, whom you will coach, mentor and lead in their day to day including guiding their career development.

  • You love zooming between strategy and tactical execution - you love being in blue sky brainstorming and problem solving sessions and you equally love distilling those ideas into execution or managing people who do

  • You have a consultative approach - you are able to influence within and across complex matrix structures and provide clients with differing perspectives

  • You are a coach, manager and mentor - you hold a high bar for performance and are able to coach the HR team to be their best everyday.  You develop your team and ensure HR role models the behaviours we expect from the business

  • You have opinions and ideas - you are a fun sparring partner on issues strategic, organizational and operational.  You are inquisitive and curious.  You know when to keep pushing an idea and when to bring the conversation to next steps

  • You are phenomenal at prioritizing issues with competing demands - you know what needs to get handled and in what order based on impact and scope

  • You pride yourself on being organized - you keep track of tasks - big and small - and always have an update

  • You easily build trust with others at all levels - you form genuine partnerships with others and are a pro at influencing and partnering with CoEs to deliver all facets of HR in an integrated manner

Qualifications

  • You have 12+ years of HRBP experience partnering with clients at a senior level ideally with experience working within the Staffing/Recruiting industry 

  • You have at least 5+ years of recent people management responsibilities

  • You have at least 3+ years of managing a variety of Employee Relations issues

  • Start-up experience is strongly preferred 

  • You have experience of driving/implementing Diversity & Inclusion initiatives

  • You have a history of proven delivery of tangible people results including helping the business think about culture and organizational change

  • You possess a robust analytical and strategic skill set; you make decisions based on data both qualitative and quantitative 

  • You are deadline-driven, organized and able to multitask

  • You have a comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to create clarity

  • You possess the highest level of integrity and stellar judgement

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills

  • You thrive on being a strong collaborator who can work across global, cultural and geographically dispersed teams
