With product teams in Austin, Tokyo, Seattle, San Francisco, Singapore and Hyderabad, we are improving people's lives all around the world, one job at a time.
As Director of International Business Strategy, you will be responsible for helping drive the Product and Business Strategy for key international markets. You will work alongside the international product team and the SVP of the small and medium business segment. You will be responsible for prioritizing markets, building go-to-market plans, and continuing to grow the business at a healthy trajectory while balancing the need to find efficiencies across the organization
All business leaders at Indeed, including Directors and above, are analytical, creative, and collaborative. We obsess over data and drive for simplicity. A successful business strategist will lead through data and insights, obsess about customer outcomes in every decision she/he makes and lead by developing the trust and respect of teammates.
A few examples of what you will drive as part of this critical role:
Annual business planning - be responsible for working with key leaders across the company (product, marketing, sales, customer support, etc.) to drive yearly revenue planning and investment asks
Go-to-market strategy - use data to determine which countries to prioritize and develop go-to-market plans to address each market’s unique needs
Product strategy - develop deep market expertise and insights based on data to advise the international product team on what to build and which key metrics to track
Ongoing business reviews - drive ongoing monthly business reviews with C-level stakeholders and help the GM with board-level strategic discussions
Ongoing Resource allocation - work on appropriate resource allocation and optimization to drive sustainable, long-term growth
Work across the organization - look for opportunities to collaborate and share ideas across business units to improve scale and outcome. Be an enabler for increased efficiency and speed of execution
Some other important (and differentiating) things to note:
You will enjoy a casual work environment, flexible hours, and great compensation and benefits. There is a complete lack of office politics; if that is your specialty, look elsewhere.
You will wear many hats and constantly learn new things on the job. You will be surrounded by smart, dedicated, nice people. You will be proud of the company’s mission and your business area’s impact.
On your first day, we will give you a t-shirt that says, "I help people get jobs.". Soon after, you will be wearing your shirt at the grocery store and someone will come up and say, "I love Indeed! I found my job on Indeed. Thank you!" You will smile for the rest of the day. This will happen a lot.
