Your job.

Indeed is seeking a highly motivated Global Procurement Buyer (IT) to join our Global Procurement team. This person will be responsible for purchasing goods and services for our IT department. You must possess an analytical mind, an ability to build and strengthen relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external vendors, and a desire to make a meaningful impact on a dynamic, high-growth technology company. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can both manage and execute multiple projects under pressure in a fun, results-oriented work environment.


About you.

Responsibilities:


  • Purchase goods and services in line with specified cost, quality, delivery targets focused on defined Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)

  • Prepare and convert purchase orders from approved requisitions

  • Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers reviewing opportunities to achieve savings

  • Support the purchasing function and stakeholders, communicating any supply challenges that could impact business operations

  • Serve as a liaison between suppliers and IT department on purchasing processes and new projects and activities

  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and maintain excellent communication

  • Contact suppliers to resolve all queries through error management reconciliation

  • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers

  • Conduct research and compile data for new supplier evaluation towards customer satisfaction

  • Provide cost analysis and review cost reduction activities

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly metric reports

  • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures for the E2EP2P process

  • Work closely with procurement team to review opportunities for continuous business improvements



Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 2+ years of experience in procurement commodities (experience supporting IT preferred)

  • Knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown

  • Working knowledge of commonly-used procurement concepts, practices, and procedures

  • Experience working closely with suppliers

  • Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliers

  • Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem solving abilities.

  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy

  • Computer literate, Intaact and intermediate MS Office and Google Suite knowledge (experience with ERP / P2P procurement system management a plus)
