A successful VP of Business Platforms at Indeed will be a service-obsessed, highly technical, data-oriented, and team focused professional that drives vision and delivery of new business capabilities and operational excellence in the operation and integration of the platform and applications. An ideal person for this role is someone who thrives on solving complex problems, builds strong relationships with customers and peers, and executes with precision. This is a critical position that requires an individual who is passionate about increasing organizational and development processes and efficiencies in a hyper-growth company to propel Indeed’s mission of “helping people get jobs.”
Responsible for driving a strategic vision and roadmap for Indeed’s internal platforms that enables the business strategy and priorities; lead the program management and technical teams, support and roll-out of integrated systems
Lead the rationalization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms for the business systems group; helping define and analyze user journeys, metrics, objectives, key results and productivity gains that inform the success of the solutions delivered
Plan, implement, and continuously improve ERP capabilities and tool sets to streamline processes and procedures and maximize operational effectiveness; create, propose and roll-out solutions that solve global requirements, generating greater productivity and satisfaction with the platforms
Collaborate with the senior leadership team to prioritize programs and projects based on company objectives, managing changing functional needs, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and interdependencies
Work with and influence cross-functional stakeholders to break down barriers and deliver solutions with speed and agility; maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid with creative solutions
Work with project sponsors, department heads, and other senior leads to guide and drive decisions on scope, schedule, and cost tradeoffs
Manage third party vendors related to ERP platforms for optimal productivity; negotiate technology contracts lowering the ERP Total Cost of Ownership (TCO); manage the ERP budget and resources in alignment with agreed-upon business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
15+ years of extensive platform solutions and software delivery experience; strong understanding of ERP principles and strategies
Successful track record of deploying and integrating best of breed ERP systems within globally complex enterprise organizations; able to navigate the complexity of multi-vendor integrations
Deep understanding of business processes and can effectively translate into business automation
Extensive project and portfolio management expertise
Experience in the selection and management of outsourced project delivery partners
Self-starter with high energy to meet the needs of a fast-paced business and technology environment
Well versed in leading large, highly effective teams with a passion for innovation and technology
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
Working knowledge of the following software: Salesforce, GoTransverse, Workday Financials, Workday HCM, Marketo
