The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentives, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Austin Area Base Salary Range: 66,000 - 88,000 USD per year

Your job.

Indeed is seeking a hands-on Stock Administrator to join the Global Compensation Team. This role will assist in managing the day-to-day administration of our equity program. Equity awards are a significant component of the total compensation package at Indeed. In this role, you will work closely with many functional areas across the company ensuring compliance, including Payroll, Legal, Finance, and HR functions. We are open to this person being located anywhere in the U.S. 

The Stock Administrator requires a motivated, self-starter to manage all aspects of Indeeds equity compensation plans for our 10K global employees. This role is responsible for maintaining equity plan records, including new grants, equity transactions, grant cancellations and expirations. This position will be a key point of contact for employees to ensure they are well educated and informed about our equity program and processes. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment where your work will have a direct impact on our employees. 

The Stock Administrator will be responsible for administering updates to Indeed’s equity administration system and accurately maintaining data. The Stock Administrator also creates training materials and communicates with Global Compensation team members to update them on any relevant changes. Finally, this position provides partnership with Indeed’s equity service provider. 


  • Day-to-day administration of all aspects of the company’s equity compensation plan

  • Assist with the implementation of ShareWorks and the coordination with Workday 

  • Provide reports, as needed, to business users, ensuring the confidentiality of data and secure delivery 

  • Be known for excellence in customer service as employee questions are asked 

  • Work with legal to ensure all appropriate black out periods and trading restrictions are respected 

  • Partner with the compensation team to execute the annual merit and long term incentive planning processes

  • Develop employee communication materials as needed 

About you.


  • Minimum 5 years experience in Stock Administration for a large, multi-national, publicly traded company

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in finance or accounting strongly preferred

  • Commitment to executing in accordance with all organizational policies and procedures

  • Experience handling US and foreign tax issues relating to equity compensation

  • Outstanding analytical, communication, and organizational skills

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently

  • Extremely detail-oriented and committed to meeting tight deadlines

  • You have managed highly confidential information with professionalism and integrity

  • Experience with G-Suite a plus

  • Experience with ShareWorks and Workday a plus

  • Experience with stock traded on foreign exchanges a plus
