The team collaborates with partners across Indeed to deliver product, process, and GTM improvements based on the client feedback combined with internal analysis.
As a Lead Market Researcher, you will design and lead executive customer interviews and focus groups, execute client and product research that blends primary research, psychographic, demographic, geographic, CSAT, NPS and longitudinal behavioral data to drive insights for cross-functional product teams informing long-term strategy and evaluating experiences for near-term refinement. You will develop the research pipeline for Indeed’s customer research community teaming with our client success, sales, product and marketing teams to design research that helps define product development roadmaps, recommendations to address key drivers of customer satisfaction and improve business performance metrics. You will apply rigorous statistical and analytical methodologies to support your conclusions.
Design, conduct, and analyze product specific surveys and lead customer focus group research to uncover insights
identify trends and solidify strategic direction of product and services development
Develop product UX and customer journey interview guidelines and surveys
Serve as one of VOC’s statistical authorities ensuring we employ rigorous statistical and analytical methodologies to support the conclusions
Oversee an online / virtual research community
Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing and client success to develop a research pipeline schedule to keep the customer research community participating and engaged
Synthesize several data streams together (quantitative and qualitative) to distill key themes and uncover unique insights that highlight relationships between behavioral and operational data
Drive change with excellent story-telling using strong data visualizations to communicate research findings that are convincing and actionable for leadership’s consideration
Develop surveys and quantitative metrics in collaboration with cross-functional team members to baseline current state and provide meaningful signals for measuring improvement in experiences over time
Lead segmentation initiatives selecting the best approach based on your experience
Connect the insights from VOC feedback throughout the customer journey and client behaviors to Indeed’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) and revenue history
Bachelor’s of Science or foreign equivalent degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Methods, Cognitive Science, or a closely related quantitative field
5+ years of post-baccalaureate professional industry experience conducting primary, custom survey-based research and cogus group research in an applied research setting (such as user experience, market research or consumer insights), on either the research agency or client-side
3+ years experience leveraging statistical modeling tools such as R, SPSS, JMP etc
Strong foundation in applied statistical methodologies and analysis
Experience with longitudinal and cohort analysis, segmentation methods as well as experimental research design
Experience with conjoint analysis, A/B testing, powers analysis and regression analysis
Experience designing customer interview and focus group discussion guides
Experience writing, programming, and distributing surveys using self-service tools, such as Qualtrics
Ability to merge datasets together from multiple data sources using SQL
Experience facilitating an online or virtual research community
Clarabridge, Tableau, Marketo, and Qualtrics skills are a plus
Experience leading design thinking workshops a plus
