The team collaborates with partners across Indeed to deliver product, process, and GTM improvements based on the client feedback combined with internal analysis.
As a Lead Sales Strategy Researcher, you will design and execute customer research that seeks to understand and predict customer behavior by combining your original primary research with disparate research initiatives across the company within UX research, CSAT, NPS and customer transactional data. Using these inputs, you will design supervised and unsupervised models to help product and client success teams define long-term strategy and near-term user experience refinements. You will merge, clean, visualize and analyze Indeeds’ vast stores of data to understand and extract meaningful patterns of user behavior. You will liaise with our client success, sales, product and marketing teams to design research that helps define recommendations that improve our user experience, address key drivers of customer satisfaction and improve business performance metrics.
Design, conduct, and analyze research that uncover insights, identifies trends and solidifies strategic direction, drawing on your experience to choose the right research vehicle to meet the business needs
Design supervised and unsupervised ML/AI models to predict the impact of product and customer experience improvements on revenue and customer satisfaction
Synthesize several data streams together (quantitative and qualitative) to distill key themes and uncover unique insights that highlight relationships between behavioral and operational data.
Drive change with excellent story-telling using strong data visualizations to communicate research findings that are convincing and actionable for leadership’s consideration
Serve as one of VOC’s statistical authorities ensuring we employ rigorous statistical and analytical methodologies to support our conclusions
Use data scrubbing techniques to sanitize data from disparate sources ensuring overall data quality is maintained
Develop surveys and quantitative metrics in collaboration with cross-functional team members to baseline current state and provide meaningful signals for measuring improvement in experiences over time
Connect the insights from VOC feedback throughout the customer journey and client behaviors to Indeed’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) and revenue history
Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Quantitative Methods, Cognitive Science, or a closely related quantitative field
6+ years of progressive, post-baccalaureate professional industry experience in Data Science, Business Analytics, Market Research or Data Analysis
3+ years developing models within analysis packages such as R and/or Python with the ability to demonstrated skills in: cluster analysis, random forest, conjoint analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis, multi-linear regression
Hands-on experience conducting primary, custom survey-based research in an applied research setting (such as user experience, market research or consumer insights), on either research agency or client-side
Expertise in advanced quantitative research techniques such as pricing sensitivity, discrete choice modeling, key driver analysis, powers analysis, NPS, CSAT, and verbatim sentiment analysis
Strong experimental design including A/B testing design; you understand how to plan, execute, and analyze experiments in a statistically rigorous way
Strong analytic skills to make sense of structured and unstructured data, but able to move outside of a purely data-driven mindset to humanize the results and to build empathy with customers
Ability to merge datasets together from multiple data sources using SQL
Clarabridge, Tableau, Marketo, and Qualtrics skills are a plus
