The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
New York City Metro Area Base Salary Range: 123,000 - 165,000 USD per year

The Manager, Employee Relations (ER) will be responsible for working closely with the VP of Global HR and their HR leadership team to determine best practice frameworks to promote positive employee relations and manage the ER lifecycle. Although the role will start off as an individual contributor there is potential to grow and manage a small team over time.
Define, create and communicate frameworks, procedures and documentation protocols for North America but with a global mindset
Collaborate with the HR team in the development of appropriate employee relations strategies to drive positive change
Manage full employee relations lifecycle including dealing with harassment and discrimination complaints by establishing investigation plans, conducting investigations, recommending resolutions and partnering with the HRBP team in the implementation of the resolution
Maintain ER metrics and review on a quarterly basis to assess where action can be taken to simplify or enhance a process
Evaluate and analyze situations using relevant data gathered to make decisions, identify gaps and recommend changes
In a timely manner identify and escalate matters to the VP of HR on issues which pose a significant risk to the business
Stay current with applicable Human Resources-related laws, rules and regulations
Over time build out the Employee Relations function and manage the team
Bachelor's degree in a related field
8+ years of Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment
5+ years conducting ER investigations, partnering with and coaching HRBPs and managers
Experience with building an ER function from the ground up preferred
Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to Title VII, FMLA, ADA, FLSA
Proven ability to be an objective and trusted advisor for HR Business Partners, employees, and managers by building strong partnerships
Ability to prioritize conflicting demands focused on delivering solid and consistent business results
Ability to consistently exhibit high levels of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality
Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency
Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills and ability to influence others
Ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways and comfortable working in gray
Superb communication skills including effective listening, writing and presenting; ability to express thoughts in a clear and concise manner
Demonstrated experience learning and thriving in a constantly changing environment and to cultivate relationships across teams
Demonstrate empathy at all times especially when dealing with matters of diversity and inclusion
