Your job.

Manage direct reports to interface and collaborate with internal stakeholders and externally with vendors to negotiate Procurement related Contracts, Mutual Non-Disclosure, Master Services Agreements, and Statement of Works in a centralized Procurement model.  The goal is to drive and coordinate the review, negotiation, and administration of all company Procurement contracts, including customer cloud and software-as-a-service, partner, contractor, vendor, and other corporate agreements.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide global support for Procurement contracts administration, including managing, drafting, redlining, negotiating and finalizing company agreements.  

  • Act as a liaison between internal and external customers and Legal to efficiently drive the contract review and approval process to completion.

  • Analyze and validate all aspects of incoming non-disclosure agreements, software-as-a-service customer, partner, contractor and other company agreements, applying general contract and intellectual property principles knowledge to independently address a variety of contract issues.

  • Conduct initial review of all incoming contract requests and correspondence to identify any terms that vary from corporate standards to ensure accuracy and compliance, recommend appropriate modifications, collaborating with internal stakeholders in the sales, professional services, corporate finance, and other internal organizations as may be required.

  • Manage and maintain all contracts, contract policies and procedures and document tracking and reporting requirements.

  • Manage direct reports to ensure all SLA’s are within defined targets.

  • Define and review quarterly team goals and objectives.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Purchasing qualification (APICS, CIPS)

  • Minimum of 5+ years related contract work experience.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate contract concepts effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • International experience is required.

  • Strong understanding of contracting, software licensing and intellectual property rights and principles.

  • Cloud/SaaS subscription arrangements and corporate agreements knowledge a plus.

  • Working knowledge of a Contract Lifecycle Management tool works a plus.

  • Strong grasp of entire Google Suite required.

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and the ability to develop close working relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external customers.

  • Superior organizational and project management skills and attention to detail.

  • Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to effectively multi-task, reprioritize and work proactively and independently to meet deadlines and drive agreements to conclusion.

  • Contract negotiations as required.

  • Strong customer focus, a passion for producing high-quality work.

  • Great attitude and not afraid to ask questions.

  • 4-6 years of experience across procurement commodities. i.e. IT, Business Services & Professional Services.

  • Has a working knowledge of commonly-used procurement concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding, and cost breakdown.

  • Experience of working closely with vendors.

  • Ability to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements.

  • An understanding of automotive processes and components would be advantageous.

  • Computer literate, Intacct with advanced MS Office and Google Suite knowledge.

Preferred Skills / Additional Notes

  • CLM Tool / P2P procurement system management exposure beneficial.

  • Six Sigma Certification is preferred.

  • Ensure compliance with company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures for the E2E P2P process.

  • Customer focused.

  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

  • Familiar with a variety of field’s concepts, practices, and industry standards.

  • Lead and direct others.

  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude expected.
