Manage a team of full-stack and back end developers with a variety of languages including but not limited to Java, React, Python, etc.
Own the quality of the technical work of your team by providing technical review fo design and implementation, growing technical skills of team members, and contributing directly to implementation work.
Communicate cross-functionally and drive engineering efforts
Hold your own in technical discussion, be a subject matter expert, and have strategic influence
Guide a team to achieve important goals together
Coach developers, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
We're looking for someone who has
7+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management
7+ years of experience coding in one of the following languages: C++, Java, and/or C#
Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL data stores, caching solutions, messaging and queuing systems
Strong ability to coach developers, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management
Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms and excellent programming skills
BS in Computer Science/Engineering or other technical related degrees.Experience with risk, fraud, payments, marketplace, and/or e-commerce technology
Experience with backend infrastructure and machine learning technology
Cross-functional collaboration experience including but not limited to work with operations, data science, PMs/TPMs, partner engineering teams, etc.
Working knowledge of one or more cloud-based environments (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
