The team.We are a rapidly-growing, fast-moving, highly-capable UX team building the most popular job site on the planet. Our designers work in Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Tokyo and Hyderabad, collaborating with Product Managers and Engineering to deliver simple solutions to the real-world problems that job seekers and employers face hiring and getting hired. Most importantly, our team is expected to deliver results, and be able to demonstrate the impact our changes have on our business.
As the UX Manager for Candidate Management, you will lead a team of designers focused on creating simple and innovative solutions for employers from small and medium businesses, who are juggling hiring alongside running their business. You and your team will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to make it simple and intuitive for employers to use Indeed to keep track of job applicants, communicate with them effectively, and conduct interviews to fill the roles they need. This work is especially exciting due to its focus on the connection between employers and their candidates, which entails designing experiences for both employers and jobseekers.

Refine the vision for the SMB experience
Guide your team to ship improvements that enhance the hiring experience for small and medium-sized businesses
Through research, keep the voice of the customer at the forefront with a regular cadence of qualitative studies.
Collaborate closely with a variety of disciplines, including product management, engineering, design technology, UX research, content strategy, and product science.
Collaborate with neighboring internal product teams to identify and build on touchpoints that support users.
Find ways to reduce bias in the hiring process to ensure an inclusive experience for job seekers
Envision future products and services
Use quantitative and qualitative methods to uncover user patterns, behaviors, and insights. Translate these findings into recommendations for improving the user experience for small and medium-size employers.
Guide designers as they create and validate solutions to real customer problems.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional product leadership team members to help inform future roadmaps and turn vision into reality.
Grow and develop a UX team
Mentor and inspire designers and cross-functional UX team members to create world-class hiring experiences for small and medium businesses.
Establish UX processes that support product excellence while moving and shipping fast.
Communicate the business value of UX to stakeholders.
You’ll have experience with global brands and/or world-class agencies:
5+ years of product design experience with an accompanying portfolio.
3+ years of shipping product experiences.
2+ years of managing local and remote UX teams.
Experience with design thinking frameworks, as well as both generative and evaluative UX research.
Relentless attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate flawlessly with partner disciplines including Research, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Client Support, and Sales.
Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or a related design or behavioral science discipline, or equivalent experience.
