Your job.

Indeed is seeking a Technical Marketing Analyst for our cutting-edge digital marketing team. The marketing science team is at the intersection of Indeeds large investments in marketing, understanding job seeker behavior, and gigabytes of data. This role will work closely with counterparts in marketing, finance, And BI to ensure Indeed takes the right actions to help job seekers and employers.
Day-to-day activities will involve using Python, or R, to pull together large data sets. The team uses a variety of methods to analyze, predict, or categorize behavior. And then compiles lightweight summarizes to discuss findings with relevant counterparts. These analyses will guide the next activities of the marketing team. About you.

What you will do:
  • Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
  • Extending company’s data with third party sources of information when needed
  • Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
  • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Prototype automated decision systems to allocate Indeed marketing investment
  • Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
  • Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in math, statistics, computer science, or equivalent technical field
  • Can do small data modeling work: R, Python, Julia, Octave 
  • Can do big data modeling work: Hadoop, Pig, Scala, Spark
  • Can fish for data: SQL, Pandas, MongoDB
  • Prior experience in marketing, ecommerce, or digital marketing a plus
