Your job.

Indeed’s Network Engineering Team is looking for intern who’s interested in supporting our growing operations around the world. As an Intern, you’ll be working with the network team to significantly improve our automation, monitoring, and tools.  We operate on a modern and fast-paced network which provides job search results to over 200 million unique visitors per month.   • Creation of network change scripts using Python and Ansible.

  • Expected to actively seek areas where monitoring could be improved.

  • Implementation of network tools and applications.   

  • Learn how Indeed’s network works, and suggest improvements.

  • Documentation from beginning to end for network projects.

  • Ensure timely delivery of network services.

About you.

  • Internship Program is 10 - 12 weeks long

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Network or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical field.

  • Curiosity and passion about improving tools, monitoring, or automation for the network engineering team.  

  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, spanning-tree, subnetting, routing, access control lists, and firewalls operations.

  • Experience in network scripting languages - Python, PERL, TCL.

  • Understanding of network monitoring platforms.

  • Configuration of modern routing protocols.   

  • Moderate level of Linux experience a plus.

  • Self-starter with strong sense of personal responsibility.  

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Certifications: CCNA, Network+
