Our mission.

As the world’s number 1 job site, our mission is to help people get jobs. We need talented, passionate people working together to make this happen. We are looking to grow our teams with people who share our energy and enthusiasm for creating the best experience for job seekers.

The team.

We are a rapidly growing and highly capable engineering team building the most popular job site on the planet. Every month, over 200 million people count on us to help them find jobs, publish their resumes, process their job applications, and connect them to qualified candidates for their job openings. With engineering hubs in Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Tokyo and Hyderabad, we are improving people's lives all around the world, one job at a time.

Your job.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will become an expert in Indeed's web applications and ensure that we provide our users with the best product possible. You'll be the first to explore new software products and features and find ways to break them. You'll apply your unique problem-solving and technical skills to find, document, and report bugs. As the QA Engineer, you will receive some hands-on job training initially, but we expect you to take charge of your learning and QA process as required "I love solving challenging problems." "I love being able to work on projects I find interesting." "I feel so lucky to be surrounded by so much intelligence and camaraderie." What do all of these things have in common? They are exact quotes from members of the Quality Assurance team here at Indeed.

Want to love your job also? Then consider this job posting your invitation. That is, if you can answer yes to the following questions: Can you play nice with both humans and machines? Do you know what cookies are? (no, not the kind you eat) Is learning something new an exciting prospect? Are you comfortable with web technologies and familiar with Unix/Linux and cronjobs? It would be a plus, but have you worked with Python or Selenium in the past? Great! Then let me tell you a little bit about what you would be doing in this position.

About you.

You'll cross borders - as in, the border between product and development. You'll make lots of decisions; you know when to say yes and no. You'll keep our ridiculously high quality bar set ridiculously high, and help us identify and execute on ways to raise it even higher. And of course, you'll be testing new features, trying to break things, finding bugs, and suggesting ways to make our amazing products better. On top of all of that, you'll be working for a great company that helps millions of people all over the world find jobs. You're expected to be someone who can become an owner of what you're working on.

* Detail-oriented and a creative problem-solver.
