The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Your job.

Indeed is searching for a Marketing Research Manager to join our team in Austin, TX. This new member would be part of a fast-paced Brand Strategy and Insights team that designs and executes full-cycle research from insight generation through the measurement of campaign outcomes. This role would support primarily quantitative research, specifically our monthly brand tracker, using both survey research methods and Indeed’s vast wealth of data. Although this team sits within the marketing organization, we collaborate with teams across Indeed to help drive our business forward and by measuring progress against our KPIs.

Primary responsibilities for this research manager fall into 4 key focus areas:

Global Brand Tracker
  • Provide ongoing oversight, best practice recommendations and seamless execution of our Global Brand Tracker
  • Design an internal communication plan to socialize results for key markets
  • Process and clean survey data
  • Provide analysis of survey results (including descriptive statistics, regressions, and hypothesis testing)
  •  Articulate those results in a visually compelling way
Global Creative Testing & Measurement
  •  Provide a point of view on methodologies for evaluating creative assets and the implications of testing results
  •  Lead execution of various creative testing initiatives across Global and bespoke campaigns
  •  Create a learning environment to ensure insights are socialized across markets
Online Community Insights Panel
  • Oversee and design research activities in collaboration with other team members and internal stakeholders
  • Develop a content calendar and distribution plan
 Contract negotiations and SOW management for always-on syndicated research
  • Recommend optimization strategies to fully maximize current relationships
  • Proactively develop recommendations of new resources and vendors to meet the evolving needs of our team
  • Manage contract renewals for always-on resources

About you.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing or the social sciences
  • 5+ of experience with survey research methods, either in academia or a research agency
  • “Can-do” attitude with the ability to deliver breakthrough results
  • Creative minded with a willingness to innovate and bring fresh thinking
  • Strong sense of agency and stellar communication skills
  • Programming in self-service survey software (such as Decipher, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey)
  • Developing and managing sampling plans for large scale, international survey studies
  • Manipulating data in a spreadsheet application (such as Excel or Google Sheets)
  • Analyzing data using basic statistics applications (such as Data Analysis in Excel, Python, R, SAS, SPSS, or Stata)
  • Building charts, graphs, or other data visualizations to communicate insights in compelling ways
Location: The work is global, but the role is based in our Austin offices.
