The team.We are the people behind the scenes of Indeed's search results. We ensure that our results are ranked as best as they can be for our job seekers and that they’re not being duped by scams or fraud. Beyond search, we invest heavily in ensuring that Indeed has the best data analysis tools available to optimize our recruiting products and run accurate A/B tests. Indeed is a job seeker-centric platform. You and your team will lead efforts to ensure when a job seeker types in a query or browses job search results that results represent a quality that meet their and Indeed’s high standards. Our current approach to search quality requires significant human intervention, but as we scale, we need to develop tools and systems to detect poor search results more effectively and efficiently. You will have the opportunity to drive change and facilitate the shift from human-led processes to technology-based systems for search quality.
As a Manager within Search Quality Operations you will be expected to personally manage projects and deadlines while also growing the skills and professional development of our individual contributors and junior team leads. You will combine your technical skills and analytical nature to work and oversee a multi-disciplinary team of analysts who are focused on eliminating fraudulent job postings as well as identifying questionable business practices of employers on our platform.
Work with and support team leads as well as individual contributors with career planning, performance management, coaching, and data analysis.
Continually strive to work smarter by effectively scaling our quality and moderation operations.
Develop reporting and metrics to evaluate the current operational efficiency and quality of tasks performed within Search Quality Operations.
Use data analysis to inform your decisions and the direction of your teams on a day to day basis.
Establish goals to drive team-wide results, determine what is important, clarify next steps and delegate effectively to meet expectations.
Work in partnership with cross functional stakeholders like Client Services, International Operations, and Sales across Indeed.
Identify ways to combine both technology and human intervention, ensuring that Indeed's search quality practices remain consistent and effective.
Work directly with 3rd party vendors to maximize effectiveness of systems integrations as well as ensure service levels are met with all outsourced operations.
4+ years experience in a similar role ideally within an internet company that either is a marketplace or has user generated content (i.e. content or reviews) that requires moderation.
2+ years experience in direct people management with a strong desire to focus on individual coaching.
Self starter, intellectually curious and comfortable operating in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
Capability to validate and explain trends and results compared to outlined success metrics.
Must be organized, positive, proactive, results-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Proven ability to create project plans in support of senior leadership’s vision for the organization, and execute them to completion.
Technical knowledge with a proficiency in manipulating data sets in SQL or equivalent and drawing insights from data.
Experience in scaled content moderation is preferred.
