The team.

Our COO is focused on driving the company’s market position around the globe and managing all day-to-day activities of the business. The team leads the vision and execution for sales, client success, marketing, finance, legal and international strategy. We are looking to add an SVP of Operations to review, design and deploy the company’s strategic priorities across the organization and own meaningful projects that will drive our future success.

Your job.

The SVP of Operations will work closely with the COO and leadership team to drive impact across the globe. 


You will use a rigorous fact-based approach to identify and evaluate transformative opportunities. You will leverage your critical thinking and problem solving skills to support the development of innovative solutions and create frameworks to effectively communicate and debate these decisions with Senior Leadership. You will accomplish this by collaborating with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts from various parts of the business, while leveraging outside data and perspective. 


This is a highly visible position with a “seat at the table” in directing and leading all operations inside Indeed.  Additional responsibilities include:

  • Partner with functional and business leads to formulate and drive key strategies and initiatives

  • Support the creation and execution of a strategic long-range planning process for the organization

  • Coordinate with Corporate Development team members on identifying potential transactions

  • Creating investment conclusions and related presentations for review with the senior leadership team of Indeed

  • Generate process improvement hypotheses & conduct in-depth analysis for major projects

  • Establish comprehensive performance goals & document ‘as-is’ processes & information flows

  • Develop detailed action plans; time frame(s), sequence of events, etc. to be performed by team members, & external consultants

  • Analyze & define approaches/methods to effectively implement solutions for a broad-array of functional business platforms, focused on workflow innovation, organizational effectiveness, growth strategy & performance improvement

  • Develop outstanding working relationships with business stakeholders

  • Leverage change management best practices to mitigate resistance

You will have deep expertise and experience leading a large, global, high-growth, technology organization across all facets of operations and functional lines of business.  The successful candidate will possess a strength in transparent leadership, an ability to build and drive process and change, and an absolute passion for Indeed’s mission…”We help people get jobs”.


In addition to experience with the responsibilities listed above, additional requirements to be considered for this position:

  • 10+ years leading the operations function for a large (10k+), global technology organization

  • MBA preferred

  • Deep understanding of all facets of business operations (Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Legal, etc.)

  • Demonstrated expertise in leadership skills, business acumen and ability to effectively manage, lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team

  • Expertise and experience managing operations for M&A activities

  • Track record of successful financial management

  • Superior decision making ability

  • Executive-level communication and influencing skills

  • Ability to resolve issues and build consensus among groups of diverse stakeholders
