The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits. 

Sydney Base Salary Range: 100,000 - 146,000 AUD

Your job.

Indeed is looking for a strategic Director of Sales to help in the expansion of our Sydney office. We are looking for candidates who have 7+ years of sales experience and who have experience managing existing books of business in inside and outside sales capacities. A strong candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, and a desire to be a part of the fastest growing Internet company.  


  • Hire, develop & manage a team of Sales Account Managers who specialise on growth accounts
  • Direct the sales process, qualifying and positioning of Indeed products and services
  • Lead new business generation and up-selling of existing advertisers
  • Ensure delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals and manage a weekly revenue forecast
  • Rollout sales business rules, practices, and policies to sales territories

About you.


  • 7+ years of sales experience
  • 2+ years of sales management experience
  • Proven success in hiring, managing and motivating a sales team
  • Demonstrated experience in pipeline management and accurate revenue forecasting
  • Experience working within the Recruitment or Digital Media arena is ideal
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with interactive media, including pay-per-click (PPC) products is favourable, not mandatory
  • Exposure to the online recruitment industry is strongly preferred
