The Hire Sales Specialist team is aligned with our Hire product and is responsible for helping sales and cross functional teams validate concepts while creating the framework that can be shared with Sales and Production teams

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits. 

Austin Base Salary Range: 62,000 - 80,000 USD per year

Your job.

In this role, you will be responsible for the client-facing team who is testing and validating new ideas and approaches to drive revenue growth and ROI. The team will support Hire sales efforts and our customers through planning, positioning and objection handling while providing product technical expertise. You will be responsible for working closely with the Hire Sales and Strategy leadership team on executing product adoption strategy, as well as with frontline sales reps and clients. You will also be responsible for planning, launching and distributing the tests across the team based on bandwidth and skill alignment.

Core role expectations include:

  • Leading a team of Sales Specialists in Austin who test new ideas relating Hire product

  • Working with Hire Sales and Strategy teams to design meaningful tests 

  • Defining testing parameters and distributing test load across the team 

  • Assisting Sales in identifying leads suitable for product, proposing potential product bundles/pricing  based on the client’s needs

  • Joining sales on customer calls/visits, conducting product demos and assisting in sales pitches where appropriate

  • Partnering with the Sales Strategy and Product teams to execute product growth strategy and tailor solutions 

  • Maintaining a healthy pipeline and accurate forecast of growing business opportunity 

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and support sales initiatives to achieve product goals

  • Cross-train as a product expert for Indeed’s full product suite to understand Hire fit and positioning

  • Engage sales teams to provide technical product details and limitations throughout the sales process

  • Understand product demand and prepare information to support business development efforts & deployment

  • Lead product line rationalization and market segmentation efforts to increase solution selling efficiencies that support overall Indeed value proposition

  • Conduct regular product demos, reviews and sales training over the phone, via webinar and Face-to-Face where applicable

  • Gather market intelligence to help improve product

  • Help evaluate, build, and manage top of funnel sales pipeline, growing successful client relationships for Hire product

  • Help evaluate, build, and manage client onboarding and management process to drive client retention and NPS

  • Provide test and performance insights to Sales leadership team

  • Help scale processes including lead generation, client marketing, and talent recruiting by persistently uncovering the hiring needs of clients

  • Provide feedback to the product and engineering team that will improve the platform

About you.

  • You have people management experience or have successfully led groups of people in a cross-functional setting

  • You have demonstrated strategic leadership skills and are comfortable working with roles ranging from senior executives as well to sales partners at all experience levels 

  • You have demonstrated the ability to spot trends, analyze and summarize feedback/data from the field to make recommendations on changes that need to be made

  • You have a proven ability to operate in a large group setting and rollout new products, policies, procedures to groups of people

  • Understand how to strategically and effectively navigate businesses of all sizes and have  experience selling multiple products, product lifecycle knowledge and go-to market strategy

  • You are able to work with senior sales executives to uncover problem areas and put a plan in place to address the issues quickly

  • You have a “can do” attitude, positive, but also realistic and push back

  • Demonstrated ability for technical learning, customer focus & cross-functional participation

  • Experience in consultative and solution based selling
