The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits. 

Austin Base Salary Range: 22.59 - 29.33/hr USD

Your job.

As a Policy Analyst on the Search Quality Operations - Global Policy team, you will be part of a team dedicated to the research, development, and communication of Indeed policy. You and your team will work together to establish and communicate rules and guidelines for interaction and usage of Indeed.com globally. All this is done to protect the job seeker, promote good opportunities, and most of all help people get jobs. 


As an ideal candidate, you are comfortable when asked to perform in-depth analysis and research independently, and can effectively communicate your findings to a large audience. Your decisions are well documented and always backed by evidence and data. You are undaunted by developing, communicating, and implementing large scale changes that impact multiple areas of the business. You have experience collaborating across many teams, organizing group projects, identifying and meeting with key stakeholders, and following up on action items. You are excellent at managing your time, allowing you to be efficient and quick.  You have a knack for understanding the bigger picture when making decisions. 



Responsibilities:


  • Review existing policies, identify gaps in implementation of said policies, and make improvements via policy revision and development -

  • Proactively identify and propose solutions to potential grey areas, issues, and areas of inconsistency in policy

  • Work with teams and analysts around the world to ensure policies are consistent and effective across different markets

  • Fully document research and reasoning, including relevant data and evidence to support your decisions

  • Use established metrics and data to evaluate the impact of our policies, and make recommendations based on that data

  • Effectively plan, manage, and execute multiple projects moderate in scope

  • Research new and creative implementation strategies

  • Train and educate Search Quality teams on all things related to policy

  • Work with the Search Quality Communications team to create informative public facing documentation for our clients and job seekers

  • Consider the job seeker experience in every facet of your work

About you.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, or International Relations or 1-3 years of relevant work experience

  • Advanced degree in a related field such as Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, or International Relations or 0-1 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience juggling multiple projects and deadlines at the same time with high success rate

  • Experience using web analytics tools, databases, Google products, and Boolean Search in a professional setting

  • Knowledge of data querying languages SQL is preferred but not required, R or Python is a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to deliver clear and succinct interpretations of extensive research in a manner accessible to all relevant Indeed teams

  • Independent operator that can manage their own workload while contributing to team goals

  • Ability to filter relevant data when faced with mass quantities of content.

  • Can adapt quickly on the fly
