The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Your job.

As a Search Quality Senior Analyst, you are responsible for protecting the integrity of Indeed’s products by working to ensure our job seekers have the best possible experience on Indeed. You will focus on analyzing behavioral data and content to investigate and make decisions. You will innovate new analytical models and processes to drive improvements in the use of targeting and personalization on Indeed’s platform, which will significantly improve the job search experience for millions of users.

This position is an In-Office position in Austin, TX.

Description:


In this role, you will investigate and analyze job seeker behavioral data and targeting and personalization languages and logic using statistical analysis, reviews of targeting language, and data visualizations and storytelling to adequately define improvements and communicate new targeting language requirements.  You thrive off working in a fast paced environment and are comfortable building, breaking apart, iterating and rebuilding analyses and processes. You will partner with the rest of the Search Quality team and our product and engineering teams to suggest improvements. As an ideal candidate, you are collaborative, analytical, hard-working, detail-oriented, passionate, and able to prioritize tasks.  You will act as a go-to resource for the rest of the Search Quality team on targeting and personalization, by building trustful relationships and leading by example.  


Responsibilities:

  • Collect data, analyze and compile trends, and visualize recommendations for partner teams to make quality business decisions.

  • Perform in-depth analysis of job seeker behavioral data, query results, and content performance 

  • Moderate the quality of targeting and personalization languages and logic and content delivery by effectively recognizing trends, problematic patterns, and “red flags”

  • Has expert knowledge of targeting language, products, guidelines, policies, and organization-wide workflows and processes so that you can act as a go-to resource for Search Quality on targeting and personalization.

  • Defines innovative data-driven solutions for unique problems outside of normal scope and can step outside of the boundaries of their day-to-day role.

  • Builds relationships based on information gathering while also building awareness around Search Quality and the job seeker experience.

  • Investigate and respond to requests from other teams in the company, including complaints from employers and job seekers

  • Help define the policies that guide company-wide quality decisions

  • Develop recommendations on ways to improve our products, targeting and personalization language, and internal tools and processes

  • Provides process and workflow improvements to the rest of the team, and actively seeks out new efficiencies. 

  • Ensures that job-seekers get the most out of their job search experience by supporting and communicating search quality policies and standards.

About you.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS required and 2-4 years of relevant work experience OR an advanced degree and 1-2 years of relevant work experience OR 3-5 years of relevant work experience

  • Knowledge of SQL to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data

  • Experience with statistical analysis and applying principles to analyze sample size, cohort comparisons, profiling, and predictive models

  • Extremely detail-oriented, with critical reasoning and sound judgment

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Passionate about digging into problems and finding innovative solutions

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills

  • Able to learn new tools and provide constructive feedback on ways to improve our current suite of tools
