The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentives, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits. 

Austin Area Base Salary Range: 69,000 - 90,000 USD per year

Your job.

Responsibilities include: the development and deployment of data metrics from numerous sources available to the team, and defining the information into informative reporting dashboards.

 

The Security Analyst will be responsible for investigating, collating and informing of potential incidents across the organization, with the mission to protect the safety and security of information systems and assets throughout the global enterprise.You will be responsible for generating data metrics, and highlighting trends, and possible risks to the business. Conduct ongoing evaluation and risk assessments to ensure that the technical and procedural security requirements meet or exceed corporate standards.

 

Program Duties:

  • Apply your expertise in quantitative business analysis, technical knowledge, and presentation of data to identify trends and opportunities to improve the performance of our operations

  • Use data and visualization to tell a compelling story to convince internal stakeholders to take action

  • Develop, maintain and advocate for regular monitoring and reporting of operations from centralized tools that can be leveraged to provide actionable metrics and recommendations for action

  • Partner closely with relevant Stakeholders to collect regular context to metric movements

  • Identify and advocate for improvements in centralized reporting and monitoring solutions that can be leveraged to monitoring the performance of our operations

  • Generate incident reports on various issues and trends, using available data streams compile metrics  monthly/quarterly/yearly reports for all activities relating to the business requirements

  • In coordination with global security leadership, develop and implement a strategic vision and security plan to elevate security and intelligence awareness across the group

  • Advocate for and help deliver intelligence solutions that simultaneously mitigate security risks to enable the business achieve growth

  • Contribute to the development of relevant policies, standards and processes aimed at protecting the people, property and information assets across the organization 

  • Managing security risks to the organization, analyzing threats, responding to incidents, and continual improvement of security services

  • Assigned projects from inception to completion

About you.

The Security Analyst may work with and/or liaise with all levels of employees, including senior management. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the global security critical agenda to all levels within the business. 

The core skills listed below are essential to the successful candidate for this position.

  • Bachelor’s degree or have a law enforcement, Military, and Security background with honorable discharge or a combination of both educational and relevant, job-related work experience

  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems, especially where there is ambiguity or conflicting interests 

  • Comfortable shifting priorities and simultaneously engaging in multiple projects 

  • Confidence in executive presence 

  • Analytical thinker who can break down problems using data and technology.

  • Advanced computer skills with experience in Google G suite, Microsoft office, Splunk, and other reporting tools

  • Capacity to thrive when faced with ambiguous problems and capable of leading complex projects independently

  • Knowledge of current physical security trends and technical design

  • Leadership experience including evaluating contractor performance

  • Ability to respond to audit and regulatory inquiries

  • Experience managing stakeholders with competing priorities in a dynamic and changing environment

  • Recognized security accreditation (CPP, PSP, CSyP, CSMP, CISSP etc.)
