Our mission. As the world’s number 1 job site, our mission is to help people get jobs. We need talented, passionate people working together to make this happen. We are looking to grow our teams with people who share our energy and enthusiasm for creating the best experience for job seekers.
We are a rapidly growing and focused product team building the most popular job site on the planet. Every month, over 250 million people count on Indeed to help them find jobs, make it easy to apply, research companies, and connect qualified candidates to their job openings. With product teams in Austin, Tokyo, Seattle, San Francisco, Singapore and Hyderabad, we are improving people's lives all around the world, one job at a time.
Indeed has a simple mission: help people get jobs. However, various segments of job seekers and jobs are vastly different based on their specific situation and needs. Examples of different segments include occupations (e.g. truck drivers), industry (e.g. healthcare), types of work (e.g. part-time, relocation) as well as different salary ranges (e.g. > $100K jobs).
As a segment manager, you will own the job seeker experience for a specific segment of users. You will understand the job seekers (and employers) in that segment and what is important to them, both by working together with existing efforts at Indeed (e.g. UX research, taxonomy, data science, sales, client success, and many more) and engaging with users directly. With that understanding, you will work to improve the user experience on Indeed for that segment of users in a variety of ways, from suggesting new products and features that will develop to configuring query suggestions, marketing strategies, acquiring more jobs, surfacing the right job information, and more… While we have some ideas, we don’t have all the answers and expect you to discover new ways to customize Indeed per segment.
You will wear many hats and constantly learn new things on the job. You will be surrounded by smart, dedicated, nice people. You will be proud of the company’s mission and your product's impact. Every day you will hear someone say ‘What is best for the Job Seeker?’. Come help us answer that question through your creativity and drive!
