Our designers work in Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Tokyo and Hyderabad, collaborating with Product Managers and Engineering to deliver simple solutions to the real-world problems that job seekers and employers face hiring and getting hired. Most importantly, our team is expected to deliver results, and be able to demonstrate the impact our changes have on our business.

We are a newly formed content strategy team partnering very closely with UX Design, Product Management, SEO and Research in Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Tokyo and Hyderabad to build the most popular job site on the planet.  Our goal is simple and clear: To deliver the right solutions to the real-world problems that employers and job seekers face hiring and getting hired while building lasting relationships with users that span their lifetime career goals and objectives. Most importantly, our team is expected to deliver results, and be able to demonstrate the impact our changes have on our business.

We are looking for a Senior Content Strategist to partner with Indeed designers, product managers, and researchers to define the content vision and strategy supporting user needs and business objectives for Indeed’s profile and resume search products.  You’ll work to integrate product content into a cohesive customer experience and apply brand level voice and tone guidelines to the writing of product copy that seeks to continually improve content-driven outcomes.


In this role, you will also manage up to three copywriters or content strategists, providing performance updates, reviews and calibrations as well as coaching to grow their skills.

  • Have experience working for a global company and can demonstrate an ability to adapt content experiences and copy to other national markets

  • Have a significant understanding of the systems and tools used to deliver and manage content

  • Have experience crafting strategies for communities and the infusion of UGC into the overall content product mix

  • Have experience managing others including writing reviews and participating in calibrations

  • Are experienced at presenting and defending your ideas to the highest levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Plan, draft, edit, test and improve content including interface language, interaction flows, product educational and instructional materials, navigational nomenclature, information cards and other content throughout Indeed web, mobile and app experiences

  • Work collaboratively with PM, UX, and engineering to define how, what, and when content surfaces in the product user experience to help customers efficiently meet their goals

  • Be responsible for creating a cohesive content experience across the product

  • Track and evaluate content metrics and work with product team to conduct experiments and usability testing to continuously improve the experience

  • Maintain a working knowledge of products and customer to keep content fresh, accurate, and relevant

  • Work across teams to leverage company-wide content initiatives and technology

  • Conduct content inventories, audits, evaluations and gap analyses that result in recommending content, features and digital experiences

  • Help apply and maintain consistency with content standards and evolve Indeed’s voice

  • Share your work and give feedback to teammates

  • Promote content strategy at Indeed and in the broader community of design and content professionals

  • Write content briefs and reports on findings of site content analysis

  • Participate in design jams and brainstorms bringing a content lense to the crafting of flows and user experiences

  • Craft personalization strategies using content to meet user needs at each stage of their engagement and help move them through to the next

About you.

About You/Qualifications:


  • BA in English, rhetoric, journalism, advertising, marketing or other relevant field or equivalent education and experience.

  • 7+ years working with content for web or mobile experiences.

  • Must be a strategic thinker who develops long-term and results-oriented plans that will add value to our brand.

  • Must be a self-starter in terms of research, staying on top of the latest and greatest trends in digital content.

  • Working knowledge of content management systems and data analysis tools.

  • Relish working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Be an exceptional communicator, both written and verbal.

  • Strong project management abilities

  • Solid research, analytical, and decision-making skills

  • Innovative ideas and the ability to clearly express them

  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks for several projects at the same time, often on short timelines

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and other documentation tools

  • Experience working with taxonomies

  • Experience with design thinking preferred
