The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Dublin Base Salary Range: 110,000 - 146,000 EUR per year

Your job.

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Privacy Counsel to join our team in Indeed’s Dublin office. As a lawyer at Indeed, you will be responsible for working on a range of exciting privacy issues, that impact all aspects of Indeed’s business and involve close interaction with all of the main business units of the organisation, working with colleagues around the globe. You are intelligent, creative, proactive and tech-savvy. You possess strong people influencing and consensus-building skills, and are accustomed to working with people all over the world. We are seeking a self-starter who thrives in a fun but results-oriented work environment and is passionate about problem-solving while showing great attention to detail.

Responsibilities will include the following.

* Advising on strategic privacy compliance planning and the continued development and improvement of all aspects of Indeed’s privacy compliance program
* Reviewing and analyzing privacy queries from our product teams relating to tools and services used and offered by Indeed
* Advising the business on GDPR compliance issues and practices, including:
* Adherence to data processing principles
* Support of data subject rights
* Application of privacy by design and default principles
* Satisfaction of transparency requirements
* Maintenance of appropriate processes and record-keeping
* Remaining up-to-date on international privacy legislative developments that may affect the company, and identify potential strategic changes that might be adopted
* Assisting with strategic privacy compliance planning and the continued development and improvement of all aspects of Indeed’s privacy compliance program.
* Drafting and implementing privacy policies, process templates and data transfer and processing agreements
* Working closely and effectively with Indeed’s Privacy Team and Data Protection Officer (DPO)

About you.

* Qualified lawyer with at least 5+ years post qualified experience in data protection law
* Experience advising on a wide range of GDPR compliance queries
* Solid understanding of global privacy legislative developments
* Flexible, well-organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced internet and technology environment
* Ability and desire to work independently and with little oversight is a must
* Provide decisive, accessible and clearly communicated advice
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* This position will report directly to our Division Counsel in Dublin
