Your job.

As a Senior Data Governance Analyst at Indeed, your role is to ensure that the data we use to drive decisions is high quality across indeed. This role will work closely with business leaders and data stewards across the business to prioritise and deliver data quality improvements. In championing and driving information governance at indeed, this role will enable, and measure, material benefits for indeed and our users.

About you.


  • Key role in the development of our information governance strategy. Promote the information governance strategy, raise awareness of its importance and key initiatives.

  • Understanding your business stakeholders’ objectives, the metrics that are the most important to them, and how they measure their performance.

  • Agree focus areas and priorities for information governance with senior leadership across indeed e.g. core metrics, master data, hierarchical data and key systems/processes

  • Lead role in managing the information governance process across all business units from prioritisation to execution

  • Driving the business to agree definitions of our core metrics, reports and analytics

  • Managing the process with Product, Engineering and BI teams to identify the correct data sources and calculations for each metric, report and analytics agreed across the business

  • Identify and document the key business processes, process owners and data owners

  • Work with Data Stewards and Owners to support them in their roles

  • Define, document and own metrics to measure the performance of the data governance programme and individual data management initiatives.


  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a data governance, business intelligence or comparable data analysis role, with proven track record for delivery of high quality data

  • An understanding of Data Governance and data quality best practice in the industry.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others globally and to drive decisions on complex subjects

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to promote culture change across the organisation for Data Governance.

  • Demonstrated business partnering skills with change management concepts and strategies, including culture change and performance measurement system design

  • Dynamic “can do” attitude with a strong desire to improve and make things happen

  • Eager to learn and deliver in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to question the validity and accuracy of data

  • Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and comfortable interacting with employees ranging from entry-level to senior vice presidents
