The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
Austin Area Base Salary Range: 235,000 - 307,000 USD per year
Product Platforms forms one of the four pillars of Indeed Internal Platforms team. Product Platforms partners closely with product-engineering teams across Indeed's business to deliver massively scalable, business-critical platforms those teams can rely on. Authentication, Navigation, Communications, and other platforms provide crucial shared capabilities, enabling product teams to focus on scaling their own business and helping Indeed expand quickly into new markets.
As the Group Manager for Product Platforms, you will be responsible for helping drive product effectiveness and operational efficiency across these critical products. You will work closely with General Managers from Indeed’s Job Seeker, SMB, Enterprise, and Recruiting Solutions businesses as well as SVPs of functional areas such as Marketing. You will own build/buy/blend decisions to provide the capabilities that Indeed product teams need today, and evolve those capabilities as markets change.
All business and technical leaders at Indeed, especially Directors and above in product and engineering, are analytical, creative, and collaborative. We obsess over data and drive for simplicity. A successful technology leader leads through data and insights, obsesses over customer outcomes in every decision, and develops the trust and respect of teammates. As one of the most senior product-engineering leaders at Indeed, you will shape how we continue to transform the global recruitment industry.

Platform Vision and Strategy: Responsible for working with multiple C-level and SVP level stakeholders to create a clear, convincing technical strategy for Indeed's core platforms that is aligned with customer and Indeed top-level goals
Organizational Change: Drive the transformation of our products from independent projects to seamless platforms; our focus from short-term optimization to long-term, customer-centric roadmaps
Customer Focus and Alignment: Instill strong customer partnerships across the organization and ensure that group OKRs are directly aligned and executed against
Business Execution: Responsible for key OKRs for the business and having a strong cross-functional understanding of each platform's KPIs
Technical Execution: Responsible for scaling and building our products globally across multiple markets, serving hundreds of millions of Job Seekers and millions of Employers
People Management and Leadership: Lead large product and engineering teams (100+ people, globally distributed), inspiring leaders to deliver against aggressive OKRs
M&A and Partnerships: Identify opportunities for M&A and partnerships; appropriately drive alignment with internal stakeholders (C-level, Corp Dev)
Build/Buy/Blend: Establish and clearly explain a strategy for blending purchased services with custom software to create fully functioning platforms addressing customer needs
Served as VP Product, VP Engineering, and/or Chief Technology Officer (or equivalent scope) of a B2B or B2C business that has experienced substantial growth
Managed at least 2 layers of management and team sizes of ~100 people
Effectively led and collaborated with globally distributed teams
Experience working with multiple products used by millions of global users
Supported at least one world-class mobile experience
Successfully led teams and organizations through aggressive metrics-based goals
Able to make data-driven decisions effectively and efficiently
Able to communicate well and influence peers and executives
Experience with and/or comfort with dotted-line reporting structures / influencing cross-functional roles
Demonstrated ability to influence people around you to be more effective and productive
Demonstrated relentless attention to details that matter
Has built, grown, and managed a significant sized team of technical professionals, and helped them meet and exceed all the expectations listed above
