The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentives, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Austin Area Base Salary Range: 140,000 - 190,000 USD per year

Your job.

Indeed is seeking a hands-on Senior Manager of Equity Administration to plan and oversee our global equity program. Equity awards are a significant component of the total compensation package at Indeed. In this role, you will work closely with many functional areas across the company ensuring compliance, including Payroll, Legal, Finance, and HR functions. We are open to this person being located anywhere in the U.S. 


The Senior Manager of Equity Administration requires a motivated, self-starter to manage all aspects of Indeeds equity compensation plans for our 10K global employees. This position requires significant collaboration & communication with Legal, Tax, Accounting, FP&A, Compensation and HR as well as external auditors. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment where your work will have a direct impact on our employees. 


The Senior Manager of Equity Administration will serve as a thought leader to identify process enhancements, impacts from law & regulation changes through purposeful connections with equity plan industry groups as well as on-going reviews of equity publications. These insights play a valuable role in ensuring Indeed’s equity plans remain compliant, accurate as well as efficiently administered. The Senior Manager of Equity Administration also provides critical leadership on the Payroll team. This is demonstrated through the development of training materials and communications to assist with associate education both within the Payroll team and companywide.  


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with finance, tax and legal teams to provide equity reporting and ensure accounting, income, regulatory and tax compliance

  • Prepare and maintain capitalization table, stock ledger and certificates

  • Develop, document and maintain controls / integrity of data and processes

  • Keep abreast of global compliance issues and coordinate global tax compliance efforts in coordination with the Legal, HR and Tax departments

  • Collaborate and partner with Legal on development and distribution of employee education/communication initiatives

About you.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 7 years experience in Stock Administration for a large, multi-national, publicly traded company

  • Experience developing strategy and partnering with senior leadership

  • Experience managing an equity administration system, such as Shareworks, Fidelity or Equity Edge Online both in private and public company settings

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain facts and answer questions in a clear, respectful and concise manner

  • You have strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks and projects, track and follow up on projects

  • You have the ability to work independently, shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, maintain patience in high-pressure situations and take initiative where appropriate

  • You have strong customer service focus and flexibility

  • You must be comfortable in a fast-paced, casual environment

  • You have managed highly confidential information with professionalism and unquestionable integrity

  • You are proficient G-Suite
