The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits. 

Austin Base Salary Range: 65,000 - 83,000 USD per year

Your job.

As a Senior Search Quality Technical Analyst you will collaborate with other members of the Search Quality Operations team,product owners and engineering to analyse, automate and build data-driven solutions. You would develop quality measurement systems and improve operational efficiency through data analysis and tool development which will ultimately help people get jobs. 


As an ideal candidate you have an ability to swiftly work on multiple analytics platforms and choose the right solution for reporting data insights. You have a strong acumen to understand stakeholders' objectives, the metrics that are important to measure quality and performance and be able to collect,query and report the data for multiple indeed products. You thrive off working in a fast paced environment and are comfortable building, breaking apart, iterating and and rebuilding processes, analyses, and tools.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide technical guidance to more junior Technical Analysts in the spaces of data analysis, automation, and tool/product development

  • Establish and preach good coding practices and technical documentation to boost productivity of the team.

  • Work with your manager on identifying pain points that impact teams and prioritization of individual and team projects 

  • Lead projects and proactively propose improvements to measurement models designed to mirror user experiences to improve product features and job seeker experiences

  • Build data sets from disparate sources, design and develop quality measurement systems and data visualizations based on large sets of manual reviewed data

  • Build and support the continuous evaluation of internal workflows and automation solutions through data analysis to further enable expedited automation of manual processes

  • Facilitate strategy for data collection, analyse and compile trends and  empower other partner teams to make quality business decisions.

  • Validate ideas by performing experiments and analyzing the results

  • Effective multitask while retaining a strong attention to detail 

  • Advocate for and prioritize what’s best for our jobseeker population

  • Establish relationship with product teams,communicate team’s findings to other functions and act as a liaison for Search Quality 

  • Develop strong understanding of Search Quality operations and principles

  • Be a Go-to resource for the team

About you.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, MIS, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or Information Technology and 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Thorough knowledge of SQL to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data 

  • Working knowledge of scalable data storage(RDBMS and NoSQL) principles

  • 2+ years of experience in Python/R or Java/Javascript, PHP,HTML,CSS

  • 2+ years of experience with BI tools to create data visualizations and building automated and interactive dashboards

  • Possess outstanding programming skills to cleanse, manipulate, and report data and make data-driven business decisions

  • Ability to translate business requirements into prototypes and technical documentation.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong emphasis on collaboration

  • Demonstrate ownership and gain respect across functions/teams

  • Web development experience preferred
