The team.

The Interview Experience team is responsible for enabling employers to conduct and manage interviews with job seekers. We seek to build the best interviewing platform in the industry. We’re seeking a senior full-stack software engineer to help us prototype and launch innovative new products centered around helping people get jobs.

You will be responsible for entire projects, from working with a Product Manager and a UX Designer on the problem being solved, possible solutions, the UI design, implementation and analytics.  You should possess a mix of technical strength, business strength, good product ideas, and mentorship skills.

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentives, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits. 

Remote Americas Base Salary Range: 116,000 - 142,000 USD per year

Your job.

  • Collaborate with designers, product managers and other engineers to design product experiences

  • Build highly scalable applications using Java, Spring, and ReactJS

  • Continually improve our technical stack

  • Maintain existing tools and infrastructure as necessary

  • Achieve continuous deployment through writing automation tests for customer critical workflows

  • Mentor other engineers within the team and the organization

  • Share technical successes and failures with the organization regularly

  • Identify and address gaps in engineering practices

About you.

  • Is proactive in reaching out to other engineers for guidance


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s is a plus)

  • Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment

  • 4+ years of software development experience with Java and Spring 

  • 2+ years of frontend development experience with ReactJS or similar frontend development frameworks

  • Experience with Python is a plus

  • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Design (OOD) 

  • Experience building complex, highly scalable software systems 

  • Deep understanding of best engineering practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code review, source control, build, test, deploy, and operations
