Design new software systems and enhancements to existing systems to support substantial new software features and products. Work with Product Managers and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and to decompose large requests into smaller ones that can be executed sequentially or in parallel. Lead the design and development of statistical models that predict the probability of user actions. Design, build and maintain data pipelines capable of manipulating and storing large amounts of user interaction data. Research, develop and experiment with new innovative ways to match job seekers with jobs, and improve targeting capabilities and accuracy of predictive models. Apply in-depth knowledge of statistics and probability theory, classification and clustering algorithms, A/B testing, Machine Learning (including decision trees, boosting and regression), and technologies including Java, Python, Pig, Hadoop, databases and Lucene. Share the expertise on products and technologies by mentoring other engineers and by providing insightful feedback in code reviews for changes made by other engineers. Investigate and resolve difficult problems and fix complex bugs; accept escalations of complex issues. Assist other engineers in designing solutions, prioritizing work items, estimating urgency and business impact, and balancing short- and long-term results.
Minimum Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related computer technical field required.
Minimum 5 years of experience programming with at least one of the following languages required: Java, C++, C# or Python.
Minimum 1 year experience using MySQL or MongoDB databases required
Minimum 2 years experience programming with Mapreduce, Pig or Hadoop required
Minimum 2 years of experience constructing, running and analyzing A/B tests required
Minimum 2 years of experience engineering and deploying machine learning solutions required
Minimum 2 years of experience developing and maintaining scalable low latency high throughput software services required
