Your job.

As the Senior Technical Architect, you will work across all of Indeed's enterprise systems to advance the capabilities of the business platform, provide technical direction to enterprise projects, and ensure that the platform and projects are successfully achieving the desired business outcomes.  You will be involved in all project lifecycles from planning and inception through to testing and rollout, with a heavy focus on the planning, solutions, and design phase.  You will collaborate with stakeholders and partners throughout Indeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with internal customers and partners to understand their needs, priorities, roadmap, and definition of success.

  • Drive the technical evaluation of technologies and vendor solutions including industry trends and best practices

  • Develop and communicate system and solution documentation intended for both business and technical audiences.

  • Develop and communicate solution designs that scale to enterprise-scale data and application challenges.

  • Design data models and strategies for critical company-wide data such as customers, products, revenue, and organizational structure.

  • Develop proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and frameworks for new systems and architectures that enable detailed technical planning for implementation teams.

  • Drive integration strategy for enterprise platforms and applications.

  • Provide feedback and direction to the plans and project work of other Technical and Enterprise Architects.

  • Oversee the implementation of platform improvements and business projects.

About you.

You are driven by solving hard challenges and delivering value for your customers.  You're comfortable leading technical teams to deliver large, complex projects, but are not afraid to get your hands on the keyboard, lead by example, or debug a critical production issue.

You are a strong communicator, able to understand your customers, translate between business and technical concepts, and help your customers understand the business impact of a technical decision.  You are pragmatic and able to plan a project while thinking on multiple timescales.  You are comfortable working in a dynamic organization with some project ambiguity.  You think in terms of risk and how to reduce it, but understand sometimes you just need to manage risk.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software and engineering roles

  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical or Enterprise Architect

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale solutions in the ERP or CRM domains

  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce CRM or Salesforce CPQ

  • Experience working in a moderately sized matrixed organization

  • Experience delivering projects with privacy, security, compliance, and regulatory constraints

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

  • Experience delivering enterprise transformation or re-platforming projects

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, Salesforce CPQ, Einstein Analytics, Marketo, and Mulesoft Anypoint
