The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits. 

Austin Base Salary Range: 123,000 - 157,000 USD per year

Your job.

The opportunity.

As a Senior UX Designer with the Indeed Central Team, you will collaborate with cross-functional team members to create elegant and simple solutions for large enterprise businesses with complex hiring scenarios. We help large employers find, attract, engage, and hire quickly. These employers have large hiring targets, multiple business locations, and need to be discovered by the “right” candidates quickly. Your mission is to create an experience that makes recruiting and hiring easy, at scale. You’ll move fast, experiment rapidly and uncover new opportunities to take the hassle out of hiring. 


Responsibilities.

  • Ship improvements that enhance the experience for large employers.

  • Through research, keep the voice of the customer at the forefront with a regular cadence of qualitative studies.

  • Design and validate solutions to real customer problems.

  • Foster collaboration across a variety of disciplines, including engineering, product management, design technology, UX research, content strategy, and product science.

  • Codify the building blocks and content hierarchy of the employer experience.

  • Use quantitative and qualitative methods to uncover employer patterns, behaviors and intent; translate these findings into design patterns for personalizing the experience.

  • Leading design reviews 

  • Mentoring and onboarding other designers

  • Leading initiatives to quickly improve both the visual design and user experience of indeed.com

About you.

Qualifications.

  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or a related design or behavioral science discipline.

  • 7+ years of professional experience working in product user experience

  • 3+ years of shipping product experiences.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to autonomously and continually improve the quality of the experience of your product areas.

  • Experience in forging partnerships while being a successful advocate for Design to Product and Engineering leadership.

  • Ability to collaborate flawlessly with multiple disciplines (Design, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Research, and Sales).

  • Capable of toggling between the 1-year out and the 1-week out, and forging the connections between the two.

  • Relentless attention to detail with a user-centered approach.

  • Ability to think strategically and manage responsibilities against defined milestones, and plan with minimal day-to-day oversight.

  • Experience in (or desire to learn) quantitative data analysis a plus.

  • Experience in collaborating with a remote team.

  • Effective communicator who can articulate design decisions and incorporate feedback.
