Our mission. As the world’s number 1 job site, our mission is to help people get jobs. We need talented, passionate people working together to make this happen. We are looking to grow our teams with people who share our energy and enthusiasm for creating the best experience for job seekers.
The team.We are a rapidly-growing, fast-moving, highly-capable UX team building the most popular job site on the planet. Our designers work in Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Tokyo and Hyderabad, collaborating with Product Managers and Engineering to deliver simple solutions to the real-world problems that job seekers and employers face hiring and getting hired. Most importantly, our team is expected to deliver results, and be able to demonstrate the impact our changes have on our business.
Indeed has a simple mission: help people get jobs. However, various segments of job seekers and jobs are vastly different based on their specific situation and needs. Examples of different segments include occupations (e.g. truck drivers), industry (e.g. healthcare), types of work (e.g. part-time, relocation) as well as different salary ranges (e.g. > $100K jobs).
As a Senior UX Designer with the Segmentation Team, you will collaborate with cross-functional team members to create elegant and simple solutions for specific user segments. You will understand the job seekers (and employers) in that segment and what is important to them, both by working together with existing teams at Indeed (e.g. segment managers, UX research, taxonomy, data science, sales, client success, and many more) and engaging with users directly. You’ll be responsible for driving a collaborative design process to develop insights, uncover opportunities and turn ideas into tangible improvements to the user experience.
