The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits. 

Austin Base Salary Range: 123,000 - 157,000 USD per year

Your job.

We are looking for a designer who can lead the design effort for a new Indeed product that is currently in stealth mode.

What would you be doing?

  • Designing the UIs and flows for new Indeed features

  • Collaborating with UX team members, product managers, and engineers

  • Validating your designs through A/B testing (working with product management) and/or through qualitative research (either yourself or working with a UX researcher)

  • Refining other people’s ideas and coming up with your own

  • Incorporating user research to ensure the end-users’ voice is incorporated into the design process

  • Leveraging our v1 pattern library and publishing new design patterns

  • Working closely with neighboring product teams

  • Participating or leading design sprints

About you.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or a related design or behavioral science discipline.

  • 8+ years of professional experience working in product user experience

  • Deep, demonstrated experience in interaction design 

  • Experience using Sketch, Invision or other interaction design/prototyping tools

  • Experience designing for startups or web-based products a plus
