Job Seeker Mobile Engineering is at the center of making this happen across Indeed. You will define the technical vision and strategy for Android job seeker products at Indeed. You will provide leadership for our rapidly growing Android engineering team, and influence engineering leaders and teams around the world to execute on the mobile strategy. You will guide the Android team in building the core product functionality.

Design and build user-facing features for Indeed Android Job Search apps by leveraging mobile operating system frameworks
Use the latest cutting edge technologies and libraries suggested by Google for building responsive native apps for Android.
Make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with speediness and quality.
Produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly
Provide technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wise critical programs.
3+ Industry experience as a Software Engineer building native apps.
Strong proficiency in Android development
BS Degree in CS or related discipline
Languages: Kotlin, Java
Prior experience launching native apps on Google Play Store.
Foundation in computer science with a strong understanding of data structures, object-oriented programming, and algorithms
Knowledge of common mobile application design patterns (MVC, MVVM, MVP, etc.)
Familiarity with API design and client/server communication principles
Understanding of UI frameworks and multithreading
Experience writing automated tests for Android apps
