The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Long Term Incentive Plan units, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits. 

Seattle Base Salary Range: 178,000 - 225,000 USD per year

Your job.

As a Technical Delivery Manager (TDM), you will guide the careers of a team of software engineers while leading them to enhance and operate a critical internal business system.  You will actively partner with Product Managers (PM) and other key team members to create and prioritize the product roadmap and to help refine and enhance the business strategy. You will lead a vertical area, that includes backend systems and internal customer commitments. The TDM will be a hands-on leader with experience/interest in enabling continuous delivery, production resiliency, high-availability, and cycle time improvement.

About you.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic about software quality, persistent in improving the software development process, and is experienced in building highly available systems

  • Stays abreast of modern technologies and practices, and judiciously recommends the introduction of new technology and innovative processes


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s is a plus)

  • 5+ years of experience in leading software development with a consistent track record of on-time delivery and successful performance coaching for large, cross-functional projects in System Engineering, DevOps, or CI/CD

  • Strong comprehension of Computer Science fundamentals and distributed system architecture; able to demonstrate significant prior success in a software engineering role solving complex problems

  • Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Deep understanding of engineering best practices for the full SDLC, including coding standards, code review, source control, build, test, deploy, and operations
