Your job.

Indeed is looking for a Managing Director for the Marketing Studio. This is a new team that will allow us to create multi-platform campaigns and programs across many functions.

To be successful in this position you must have the following skills and abilities

  • Operational Expertise.  Must have experience in marketing operations, agency management, or decoupling marketing solutions. You must understand components, cycle times and production needs across a range of marketing tactics. You should have a proven track record of showing improvement in cost, quality and cycle time metrics in a creative environment.

  • Marketing Expertise. You can clearly demonstrate strategic understanding of emerging channels like social media, mobile, and digital and how to get it done.

  • Team Leader. You’re skilled and experienced at building and managing a team of Account Managers in a marketing environment - advertising, marketing agencies, marketing consultancies. We’re looking for direct management experience of a team comprised of 15 or more.

  • Superb communication and relationship-building skills. Naturally collaborative, must possess exceptional interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (both written and verbal) with a demonstrated ability to work with all levels of leadership. You’re extremely detail-oriented and know how to drive projects through to completion.

You’ll work closely with a range of stakeholders internally and externally including planning, media buying, creative teams, local market teams, legal, procurement, finance, sales and product as well as senior leadership. The ideal candidate is both strategic and creative and is passionate about creating a great user experience.


About you.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a deep level of marketing expertise and strategy on projects. You’ll handle complex, incoming briefs across marketing and will need to be comfortable working across various marketing teams and media channels. You’ll help internal clients strategize how to take action on their projects.

  • Evaluate stakeholder briefs, by challenging and asking questions, to develop communications briefs that meet their needs in an effective way.

  • Lead and inspire stakeholders, creative teams and external agencies to deliver quality creative work that meets the stakeholders needs and addresses their business needs. This includes having a good understanding of internal capabilities and when to partner with an external agency or freelancer.

  • Ensures all stakeholders have a great experience and are highly satisfied.

  • Report and track your team’s success metrics as well as the health throughout the campaign experience.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.

  • Established track record of successfully leading client business in an agency environment, management consultancy or similar.

  • 10+ years experience in an Account Director role or similar.

  • Skilled and experienced at building and managing a team of account managers in a marketing environment - advertising, marketing agencies, marketing consultancies.

  • Proven experience in executing scalable campaigns across multiple media types that meet agreed-upon goals.

  • Highly knowledgeable about brand strategy, advertising models, creativity, and testing.

  • Versed in assessing stakeholder briefs and problem-solving.

  • Skilled in managing stakeholders within the area of creative development, advertising, and campaigns.

  • Naturally collaborative, must possess exceptional interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (both written and verbal) with a demonstrated ability to work with all levels of leadership.

  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines.

  • Strong project management and critical thinking skills.
