As Indeed’s Center of Excellence for leadership development, the Leader Effectiveness team enables Indeed’s leaders to develop the capabilities they need to lead Indeed into the future. Our Leadership Programs team supports early-stage leaders through executives by providing programming rooted in talent data with a focus on building individual and collective leadership, ensuring our leaders are ready to lead Indeed into the future.
The Senior Program Manager of Leadership Programs works cross-functionally and collaboratively to support the end-to-end development, management, global integration and implementation, and evaluation of Indeed’s fast-growing leadership and talent development programs. As a subject matter expert, you partner with talent professionals, designers, coaches, HR, and the business to lead best-in-class programming within Indeed’s leadership development ecosystem. This includes programming across levels and functions: Successor programming, Top Talent (High Potential) programming, and leveled programming (VP, Senior Director, and Director).
This role requires that you have deep expertise in: leadership development and talent programming across the talent lifecycle, especially with senior leaders and executives; L&D program management; supporting high-impact and highly visible programs; and large-scale, global program rollout. Ideal candidates are highly networked and able to pull in the right resources to meet emerging business requests, and able to consult with and influence the most senior leaders in the company. You must have a passion for growing and developing others, and an ability to drive organizational change in a constantly changing operating environment.
This role reports to the Manager of Leadership Programs on the Leader Effectiveness team.
Partner with talent professionals, DI&B and HR Business Partners to deliver inclusive interventions that are aligned with Indeed’s strategic and fiscal priorities and that consider regional, functional, and cultural nuances
Work cross-functionally and lead a small team to consistently deliver and fine-tune leadership and talent learning solutions, including communications, systems, content, and overall experience
Manage scheduling, communication, execution, tracking, and reporting of programming
Establish standards and practices to implement learning solutions in a fast-paced environment, including utilizing industry data, trends, and benchmarks
Maintain a network of high-quality content and delivery service providers/partners to support scale and speed, and support contract negotiations when necessary
Leverage change management best practices to ensure the successful adoption of strategic learning initiatives
Develop an evaluation strategy and provide periodic reporting on the effectiveness of the programs and initiatives to clients and stakeholders.
Lead the implementation of alternative, disruptive learning solutions and methods to promote employee engagement and high-performing teams
Stay up-to-date on leadership development thought leaders with a focus on the tech space, and provide leadership development subject matter expertise
Ensure leadership programming is linked to other key L&D programming and HR processes including: talent planning, manager development, career development, and social learning strategies.
7+ years of progressive experience in employee learning and development, inclusive of delivering high-impact programming for senior leaders. This experience must include:
Collaboratively designing, developing, and managing programs and reporting on progress to clients and stakeholders
Managing multiple interdependent projects of high complexity and global scope, with emphasis on senior- and executive-level programs, including company-wide communications, program roll-outs, tracking and reporting, and stakeholder management
Implementing learning solutions that accelerate performance and address critical skills gaps for the company’s top performers and senior-level leaders
2 + years directly managing the performance and development of a team
Working in a growing, continually changing tech environment
Leadership development trends, tools, frameworks, and assessments; adult learning; program management
Impactful programming across levels and types: Successors, High-Potentials, and entry-level leaders up through senior leaders
Agile Product Management principles and methods and their application to the development of talent programs
Using data effectively: conduct needs analyses, use aggregate data to inform program development, measure progress, and support program ROI strategy
Developing and executing a measurement strategy. Must include experience conducting ROI evaluations and presenting results to senior leadership
Effective change management practices and their application to program management
Prior experience with a variety of Project Management methodologies
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills; proven research skills to gather data, best practices, and points of view to ensure sound judgment
Effectively managing change and shifting gears comfortably; highly effective in ambiguous environments and able to produce maximum results with little direction and guidance
Building strong cross-functional partnerships and trust with stakeholders through communication, reliability, and listening before offering helpful suggestions
Communicating effectively and working collaboratively across mediums and with diverse audiences, with emphasis on senior-level audiences
Strong bias for action and a "get it done" attitude
Anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, anticipating and making trade-offs, and balancing competing constraints
Negotiating well in difficult situations, with a deep sensitivity to cultural and regional differences
