Our mission. As the world’s number 1 job site, our mission is to help people get jobs. We need talented, passionate people working together to make this happen. We are looking to grow our teams with people who share our energy and enthusiasm for creating the best experience for job seekers.
As a Product Manager at Indeed, you will take ownership of Indeed’s Release Management platform. You are responsible for figuring out how to scale the platform for the benefit of Engineers, QA, Ops teams in our Engineering offices around the world. That means you drive the future of your product and what your team should work on. You use data, experience, and technical chops to influence others to follow your vision.
You are empowered to set bold goals for your product and team. Your goals will not be easy to achieve; they should inspire and motivate the team to think big and work fast. You will work closely with the development team every day. You sit next to developers, define requirements and analyze how we do things today to build the future with their input. You do data analysis yourself, whether it’s doing queries in MySQL, searching through logs, or using the plethora of in-house tools for analyzing data.
Our product development philosophy is similar to the Lean Startup philosophy. You create MVPs, prototypes, simple tests to validate ideas and iterate. You work fast, succeed fast, fail fast and are always learning.
You wear many hats and constantly learn new things on the job. You are surrounded by smart, dedicated, nice people. And importantly, you are proud of the company’s mission and your product’s impact.
You're someone who wants to see the impact of your work making a difference every single day. Your friends describe you as very thorough, analytical and detail-oriented. You are someone with technical experience in release engineering process, working with teams across timezones. More than anything, you have empathy for the challenges engineers face rapidly deploying high-quality code. Maybe you’re a developer, or a hands-on development manager and are looking to make a shift into Product Management.
