Your job.

As a Technical Product Manager at Indeed, you lead the team responsible for Indeed’s Privacy platform products. You help teams across the company maintain high velocity while protecting the information that job seekers and employers entrust to us.

Living in the intersection between legal, technical, ethical and practical presents a unique set of challenges. You build practical consensus, evaluate risk and simplify concepts for many folks. You help legal appreciate the technical, and help engineers decode the vagaries of the law. You work on large systems that scale, and quick prototype tools to make teams fast. You are the person who uncovers a solution that saves your peers hundreds of hours of work while protecting our customers and meeting our legal obligations.

The job works with several technologies and works with teams across all of our engineering offices in Austin, Tokyo, Seattle, San Francisco and Hyderabad. You analyze data, interpret legal requirements, craft unique product solutions and enable every team at Indeed to move both quickly and safely.

About you.

You're someone who wants to see the impact of your work making a difference every single day. Your friends describe you as very thorough, analytical and detail-oriented. More than anything, you have empathy for the challenges engineers face rapidly deploying high-quality code. Whether or not you’ve held the title of product manager in the past, you have influenced and shaped the product roadmap on a software team. Maybe you’re a developer or in operations and are looking to make a shift into Product Management.

  • A technical understanding of data stores, security and/or encryption.

  • Experience as a software engineer or operations engineer.
