The Indeed UX Team is an interdisciplinary team of interaction, visual, and brand designers, writers, researchers, and design technologists. Working with Product Management and Engineering, we’re defining the future of the Indeed product experience. We’re big-picture thinkers who know how to work in the trenches and ship. We’re looking for a UX manager to lead the team in our journey to create a personal and empowering search experience that matches job seekers with relevant opportunities and helps them discover new possibilities.
Your strategic impact within your first year:
Grow and develop your product design team for the core search experience:
Mentor and inspire designers and researchers within your team and the broader Indeed design community to create world-class product experiences.
Establish UX processes that support product excellence while moving and shipping fast.
Communicate the business value of UX to stakeholders.
Strategize and lead the refinement of the vision for core search products and services:
Ship improvements that enhance the job seeker experience.
Through research, keep the voice of the job seeker at the forefront with a regular cadence of qualitative studies.
Collaborate closely with a variety of disciplines: engineering, product management, UX research, content strategy, and design technology.
Collaborate broadly with neighboring Indeed product team members.
Lead your team in defining search experience standards of excellence:
Use quantitative and qualitative methods to uncover job seeker patterns, behaviors, and intent. Translate these findings into recommendations for improving the search experience to address known job seeker pain points.
Develop solutions that consider how the search experience integrates key aspects of our full portfolio of products to deliver a cohesive experience.
Develop frameworks and guidelines to address how related content can be seamlessly integrated across the search experience.
5+ years of product design experience with an accompanying portfolio.
3+ years of shipping product experiences.
2+ years managing local and remote UX teams.
Experience with design thinking frameworks as well as both generative and evaluative UX research.
Experience working in a startup environment with a focus on speed to ship.
Relentless attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate flawlessly with partner disciplines (Research, Product, Engineering, Customer Support).
Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or a related design or behavioral science discipline.
