The Indeed Design System team is an interdisciplinary group working to elevate design across the Indeed product experience. We’re big-picture thinkers who know how to get things done. We make incremental improvements every day, but also take big, innovative leaps. We lead design for Indeed’s core job search experience. Everything we do comes back to crafting experiences that are human, empathetic, hopeful, and trusted, as the world’s #1 job search site becomes an even more meaningful partner in the worklife of people everywhere.

Your impact within your first year.
Contribute to the next generation of Indeed design systems:
You think in systems; you can see how all the parts fit together, and how a small change can propagate throughout the system
You care about the details and the craft on a deep level
You can anticipate how aspects of the system will be used by designers, and design for the best default user experience
Conceptualize, define and design atomic-level components—from structural layouts to micro-interactions—across web, iOS and Android platforms
Work with research and cross-functional peers to analyze qualitative and quantitative data to drive a continual cycle of design system innovation and improvement
An understanding of the product development process, from problem definition through to detailed UI and visual design
An understanding of web implementation technologies. No coding required, but an ability to converse with developers about implementation details is essential
Be a champion for the system, getting consensus and buy-in from design and engineering
Develop and define global standards:
Contribute to building a system of design concepts, language, and patterns that will allow product designers and engineers to focus on product-level problems, ship high quality work efficiently and consistently
Contribute to the way the system is distributed to designers and engineers
Collaborate with Design Technologists & UX Engineers designing the system
Document component use guidelines and evangelize the adoption and use of the system throughout the company
